1️⃣🏃♂️In the first mesocycle, as part of speed development, we work on the first step, then move on to two powerful steps, three, and so on up to 15 meters.
Isometric strength training is used to prepare tendons and muscles for the upcoming higher load and to recover from previous injuries.
❤️🩹It is a well-known fact that isometric and eccentric loading stimulate the recovery of tendons.
🛷In the following weeks, for example, we will perform resisted sprinting that can cause Achilles tendon tendinopathy.
🛡Knowing this in advance, we will strengthen the areas that will be at risk.

2️⃣We have already said that resisted sprinting will be used in order to improve speed. To develop strength at this stage, we use two strength training sessions per week with an eccentric emphasis.
📈Gradually increasing the intensity, we reduce the number of repetitions from 12 to 8.
3️⃣In the final mesocycle, we will work on developing speed, power, and maximum strength.
