📈Effects of training on performance

🏆In elite sports the ultimate goal of a coach is to sequence and structure training load in most efficient way in order to peak performance of the athletes at the right time.
📈At the same time, this is one of the most difficult tasks. The best illustration is the fact that only 18% of athletes achieve the personal best result of the season at Olympic Games [1].
💡To get closer to an efficient solution, I’m starting to publish the results of my favorite research by Platonov*, which haven’t been published in English [2]. 🖥The video highlights the acute effects of different types of training with single focus (i.e. the training session targets only 1 physical quality) on speed, anaerobic and aerobic performance 6-24 hours post-training.
