☝🏻Importance of speed-strength abilities, anaerobic lactic, anaerobic glycolytic, and aerobic power for hockey players

☝🏻Importance of both aerobic and anaerobic energy system for a hockey player is reflected in the results of the study conducted by Lau and colleagues [1]. 🏒31% of the activity during an ice hockey game is "sponsored" by the aerobic energy supply system and 69%, respectively, by the anaerobic.

⛸Based on the results of the study by Lignell and colleagues [2], aerobic power has a moderate correlation with the volume of high-intensity skating during the game.

🏋🏻‍♂️🚴 In another interesting study conducted by Farlinger and colleagues, a strong correlation was found between speed-strength abilities, anaerobic-alactic power, and anaerobic-glycolytic power with ⛸a 35-meter on-ice sprint speed [3]. Thus, all four abilities are important for hockey players.

Thank you!
