📆Highlights of Speed and Power Training at the Off-Season Camp / Week 2

🕵🏼‍♂️According to the experts in sprinting, Morin, Edouard, and Samozino, performance in the acceleration phase is significantly related to net horizontal force, power, and force application technique [1]. At the same time, my coaching experience shows that most hockey players🏒, while having strong legs🦵🏻, have the potential to apply much more force to the ground and ice than they do. Based on this, we pay great attention to the application of strength, power, and acceleration technique🏃. Taking into account the results of the study by Secomb, Davidson, and Compton [2], as well as the strong correlation between off-ice and on-ice sprint performance [3], we believe our training approach will have a positive transfer to the ice🔁.

Thank you!
