5 Steps to become a “Positive Deviation”

 

👥There are literally thousands of practitioners around us. At the same time, to be an average in the sports community is almost an insult. 👨🏼‍⚕️Atul Gawande, a famous surgeon and author of the New York Times bestselling book, recommends 5 steps to become a «positive deviation» [1]:

❓Ask irregular question [2]. This is a great way to see unique persons in your athletes instead of a faceless mass.
🚫Don’t complain. Negativity spreads out very fast.
📏Evaluate something that is interesting for you personally. Approach the work as a scientist. You will definitely find out something interesting!
✏️Write & publish. No matter is it an article in a scientific journal, a blog-post or a publication in a social media. By doing so, you becoming a member of the professional community.
🏗Evolve. Be ready to admit your shortcomings and look for solutions. Try a new approach to doing your daily work.
